A Few Words on GOLD

Gold is one of the more volatile metals that has a history as old as currency.  The Gold Standard may be history but it continues to act as an alternative currency.  The allure of the yellow metal brings with it conspiracy theories and the mystique of foreign buyers.  Investing in gold (GLD) and gold stocks (GDX) should be limited to funds available for high risk. 

Our strategy is that gold is part of the commodity play and gold stocks are part of the equity market.
